Should students be allowed cell phones?

We are preparing students for adult life; we should therefore allow them to use the tools that they will be using in their adult life. If we are preparing our students for life after school, we should allow them to use the tools they will be using when they get there. How many jobs can you think of right now where a smart phone is not beneficial? Mechanics order parts on their phone, engineers view blueprints, doctors calculate dosages, and grocers check inventory. The list is endless. By the time our students enter their professions, the need to utilize mobile technology will be even stronger. Not preparing our students for that world is negligent.

Well on the other side……

We should not have cell phones in school because if they are going off like someone is calling them they will be distracting, the students could cheat on test, plus students wouldn't pay attention in class because they will be too distracted texting others and playing games on their cell phones. Students don't focus on learning, and it causes them to get bad grades.

 ….it is everlasting discussion……????? “comments r welcome..”

How students do well in EXAMS

Many students are feeling nervous during exams week. Well, who wouldn’t be, especially knowing that exams have big percentage in the final grade. Therefore, if you do not want to fail your subject then you should make sure to do your best during exams.

I will share to you some tips on how you could do well in your exams….

1. Review your lessons ahead of time – do not resort to cramming. Many students out there have the habit of reviewing their lessons last minute. They only take time to open their books when the exam is the next day. That will definitely not do you any favor. Instead, what you should do is to review your lessons ahead of time. You should start reading and reviewing at least one week before the exams so you could have long preparation. Not only it will give you more time to study your lessons but it will also save you from stress.

2.  Understand not just memorize – you should always make sure to understand your lessons and not just memorize the words. When you understand your lessons then you could explain it using your own words. It will help you answer questions easily unlike when relying fully on the things that you memorized.

3.  Make sure you are in great condition when taking the exams – you should ensure that you had enough sleep or rest.

The tips discussed will indeed help you to make sure that you will do well in your exams. Do not feel nervous because sometimes it could be a distraction to you. Just relax and recall the things that you studied.

Parents support during exams

Parents, your children desperately need your help during this testing time. At this crucial juncture, parents need to be their children's pillars of support, on which they can lean for all their needs. Be it in solving academic problems or dealing with the psychological and emotional stress that accompanies the entrance tests, parents have varied roles to play.Be for them 24X7.

Parents play a pivotal role in students’ success in these competitive examinations. Remember, entrance exams also test students mentally. That is why constant support of parents is needed for youngsters to perform well in such exams. Don’t pressure students to perform well in their exam, as it only stresses them out. Parents also have to take the lead in creating a conducive atmosphere at home, to help children concentrate on their studies.

Sometimes, there might be a crisis in the family during this crucial time, let it not affect the child's studies and performance in the exams. Parents need to create a healthy routine while their wards are preparing for the exams.Students too agree that parent support is of paramount importance.

Last but not the least, give them lots of love and care………..

SELF STUDY vs. COACHING

Self study can be done if you dont have any time frame in which the studies are to be completed and also depends on for what purpose you are carrying this studies. If it is for the purpose of increasing only the knowledge and rather to be covered in depth, I would prefer the self study approach.

But if the studies are time bound and the result of passing them is going to decide or rather enhance your career opportunities then one should consider attending the coaching classes as well. As there is every possibility to learn the proven and time saving techniques or solutions, and also provide room for discussions and sharing of thoughts about the particular subject. As discussing about a particular subject with the known people or people who are experts in that particular subject will be able to clear all the doubts in a lesser time than one finds it on his own.

So In my opinion its a combination of self study and coaching which help us to be successful.

Please don’t hesitate to send me a message.  ( I hope that y’all will love it and that you’ll continue to read it.)

When Students Need Emotional Support

One of the realities of teaching today is that most teachers work in classrooms with students identified with a wide variety of needs. We often focus on how to best accommodate our students with learning support needs, but when we welcome a student with emotional support needs into our classroom, it can really turn everything upside down. Students with emotional support needs often don’t “play by the same rules” as other students.

I have found the most valuable when dealing with Emotional Support students. Students who are dealing with this type of disability require the guidance and support of steadfast, reliable adults. They need to know that we will encourage them when they are at their best and that we will be fair and safe when they are at their worst. They will test us frequently to see if we are honest in our claims. Some of their tests will hurt. One of the hardest aspects of working with these students is the “one step forward, three steps back” feelings that occur when you feel you’ve made progress with a student one day only to have them act out the next. It is vital at these times to remain calm, to remind ourselves that we are professionals helping a hurt child, and that we promised we’d be here to support them.

How students can help the environment....

Today, everyone is well aware that they need to do their bit for the environment. However, we are way past the time when awareness would be sufficient. The time has come to act. This holds especially true for those who are students today – in school or college – because they have it in them to change the way we evaluate our relationship with our environment. It’s just a matter of making the right choices and some lifestyle changes.
Besides following the mantra of ‘reduce, reuse, and recycle’ develop a green conscience. Think green and more importantly, act green. Green is no longer the symbol of envy, it is the color of pride adopted by all those who share the concerns of the environment and are doing their bit for it. You, as students need to pitch in and become part of the revolution.

How imp. to have a best friend ?

We all know how important friends are. There are friends we go for coffee with, friends we shop with and friends we head to the gym with. But despite having a pal for every occasion, having a best friend is a huge bonus in life.
1. Comfort
A best friend is someone you don't have to fill in the blanks with. They already know all the inner details of your life. "It's like picking up a book and knowing exactly where you left off,". You can cut to the chase and get right to the meat of any discussion because all the background information has already been stored away.

2. Unconditional support
You have yet to shower or even brush your hair and your best friend calls. What do you do? You get in the car without even changing -- because you don't have to. Best friends have seen us at our best and worst, and they love us either way. It's important to have someone in our lives we feel totally at ease with,. Someone we can be ourselves with -- sweats and all.

3. Self-esteem boost
Good friends help us to develop our self-esteem,. "Having someone in our life who thinks we are important -- someone who wants our opinion on things and who values our company -- makes us feel wanted, boosting self-esteem,".

4. Honest opinions
Best friends will also be totally honest with us,. They know you well and are able to tell it like it is. So thank your best friend the next time.

Hey, guys believe me to have a best friends in once life>>>is a far treasure earned.

YOU are perfect just as you are

As you look around you, perhaps contemplating what will become of you as life ticks by, think on this. Everywhere you look you will find people, living or dead, who have achieved more than you. Some are more intelligent, more talented, more beautiful. Others will be the opposite. There are people who achieve very little compared to, say, Gandhi or Churchill, but who bring up loving families. There are some who cannot tell a joke to save their lives, let alone sing or dance, but who will do anything to help a hungry animal.
And as you contemplate the myriad pieces of the mosaic called humanity, realise that in the perception of others, YOU are included. Each will have a view of you as more or less talented, more or less beautiful and so on. No one is right or wrong. There are no “betters” or “worses” in the world. Only lots of me’s and you’s. Everyone is perfectly themselves, just as they are. YOU are perfect just as you are.

Only when you see yourself from the perspective of perfection can you grow.

Do we really Need Education to be Successful?

Education is of two different kinds.

We have true-education, which is self-learning.
We have School-education, which is Book-learning.

Now basically, You must understand that book learning alone will never make you successful, if it were to be so, People who are well learned in school would have attained the best positions in life. We have evident of people with self-learning (true education) that have owned corporations that most people work in today.

Read the story of Thomas Alvin Edison (he had only 3 months of formal education) , Henry Ford (had little schooling too) , Bill Gates (who had to drop out to pursue his dream child, Microsoft) , Mark Zuckerberg (who also has to drop out to pursue his dream child).

What they teach in the four walls of a school tends to put us into a mediocre state. There is a seed of greatness in every man, the school does not teach that. It teaches the students what they really can't use in Real life. But if you study the lives of people who have gone before you. Read books, study biographies, what you have just done is that you have simply added more wisdom that you can use on a daily basis.

Most good students don't know squat about how to fend for themselves, except waiting on a corporation to hire them and help them settle for a future, unknown to them.Today, we know there is no more financial security. The more you tend to delay your self-education, the more you are bracing up to become a dependent in your old-age to a system that is daily collapsing.

True education can only be achieved in printed materials, not in school, not watching Television or playing Video Games, but in Studying, learning and then awakening the sleeping giant inside of you.

(By the way, I am educated. So don't think I hate education).

Think Like A Winner!

"If you want to get the results that winners get,
you must first think like a winner thinks!"
So how does a winner think? Did anybody knows about it? Well life is a challenge everybody wants to be winner in his life. Parents always wanting their children to be a winner in life but how? Consider each one carefully, and imagine what your world would begin to look like if you held the same beliefs and made them a part of your life today.

• Winners are not born, they are made.
• The dominant force in your existence is the thinking you engage in.
• You are empowered to create your own reality
• There is some benefit to be had from every adversity.
• Each one of your beliefs is a choice.
• You are never defeated until you accept defeat as a reality, and decide to stop trying.
• You already possess the ability to excel in at least one key area of your life.
• The only real limitations on what you can accomplish in your life are those you impose on yourself
• There can be no great success without great commitment.
• You need the support and cooperation of other people to achieve any worthwhile goal.

I think to some extent I have reached to some conclusion,,,, well your opinion are always welcome.

POSITIVE ENCOURAGEMENT

Positive self talk is critical for personal development. Great statements to memorize though!

It is very essential for the parents to give their children positive encouragement to face the challenges of life. As I always believe that positive encouragement is not only beneficial to students in day today life but also in long run to establish their future.

These are some tips to ponder in your thoughts:

1. I will never give up as long as I know I am right.
2. I will believe that all things will work out for me if I hang on to the end.
3. I will be courageous and undismayed in the face of poor odds.
4. I will not permit anyone to intimidate or deter me from my goals.
5. I will fight to overcome all physical handicaps and setbacks.
6. I will try again and again and yet again to accomplish what I desire.
7. I will take new faith and resolution from the knowledge that all successful men and women have had to fight defeat and adversity.
8. I will never surrender to discouragement or despair no matter what seeming obstacles may confront me.

Regular Health Mistakes

All of us make little health mistakes that cause damage to our bodies in the long run - simply because we are unaware we are doing something wrong. Here are some of the most common mistakes made by many of us.

Crossing our Legs
Do you cross your legs at your knees when sitting? Although we may believe that this is the lady-like elegant way to sit, sitting this way cuts down circulation to your legs. If you don't want varicose veins to mar the beauty of your legs and compromise your health, uncross your legs every time you realize you have one knee on top of the other. The best way to sit is to simply place both legs together on the floor, balancing your weight equally. If you feel like changing position, instead of crossing your legs, simply move both legs together to one side. As an alternative, you could also consider crossing your legs loosely at the ankles. This is a classically elegant way to sit, and is far better for your legs and your health than sitting with your legs crossed at your knees.

Not changing our Toothbrush
How often do you change your toothbrush? Most of us wait until most of the bristles have either fallen off, or are in such bad shape that we'd be embarrassed to pull out our brush in public. However, since not many of us need to pull out our brush in public, we carry on with our frayed one until we lose it. Replace your toothbrush often. Damaged bristles can harm the enamel, and don't massage your gums well. If you find brushing your teeth a pain like I do, but know you must do it, you might as well be doing it right. Imagine going through the annoyance of brushing your teeth twice a day only to find out that you're damaging your enamel every time you clean your teeth. Also, use a brush with soft bristles unless your dentist has advised otherwise.

Eating out often
There are oils that are high in cholesterol, and oils that cause little harm and are better for your heart. However, no matter how light the oil is, it is never a good idea to eat too much of it. Avoid fried foods.  Limit outdoor eating unless you know that you"re getting served light and healthy food.

Skipping Breakfast
Never, ever skip breakfast. Remember, when you wake up in the morning it's been around 10-12 hours since your last meal. Your body needs food now, more than at any other time. Eat a heavy breakfast. You will then be busy through the day, and the calories will get expended quickly. If you are trying to diet, eat a light dinner. Here are some more common health mistakes we make. Being informed and making a few changes can help make us feel a whole lot better.

High Heels
High heels sure look great, but they're murder for your back. This however doesn't mean you should steer clear of stilettos. Wear them, but not when you know you will be walking around a lot. Wear them when going out for lunch or dinner - when the only walking you will be doing is to your car, to the table, and back. Avoid high heels when you are going somewhere on foot. If you are constantly tempted to wear your heels, take a good look at your flats. Is there something about them you dislike? Invest in a new pair of beautiful flats or shoes with a low heel. Buy something you love, that you will enjoy wearing. If possible, get a matching bag. You will then enjoy your flats as much as you do your heels.

Sleeping on a Soft Bed
You don't have to sleep on the floor be kind to your back, but do make sure you have a firm mattress. Although a mattress on springs is soft and lovely to sink into, it's bad for your back. If you already have an old bed with springs, you don't need to invest in a new one - simply get a thick wooden plank put over the springs, and place the mattress on the plank. Similarly, if your mattress is old and lumpy, throw it out and get a new one. Your neck and your back will thank you. The same rule applies to sofas. If you will be spending hours on a sofa, get a firm yet comfortable one. Sofas you completely sink into are not the best idea.

Pillows
No matter how comfortable sleeping with ten cushions is, have pity on your neck and resist. Sleep with one pillow, and make sure it is not too thick. If your pillow gets lumpy, discard it and go for a new one. Get a thin pillow if you sleep on your stomach, and something a little thicker if you sleep on your back, to give your neck adequate support.

Not Exercising
So all of us know we should exercise more, but many of us don't. This is a health mistake we consciously make! And why is that? Simply because we refuse to admit the damage we are causing to our bodies by not working out.. A number of people only start working out once they've experienced a warning signal. Don't wait for a heart attack to strike before you decide to opt for a lifestyle change. Make the change now. You don't need to train for the marathon to be in top shape. Half an hour of brisk walking three to four times a week will make a world of difference to your health. You could then increase this to forty minutes, four times a week - and you're all set. If you haven't exercised for a week, you're making a mistake.

Money Is More Important Than Love

Love is said to be the most beautiful feeling on Earth. The people who experience this feeling are said to be the luckiest people on Earth.
People often say that they can live their life happily if it is filled with love and that they can live without money. But when we go deeper into this statement it proves to be false. It is true that money cannot buy love and happiness but money certainly can buy things through which an individual can express his or her love and also buy essential stuff which would make them happy. There is a famous saying “It is better to cry in a BMW rather than on a cycle”. This statement is indeed true. It is better to be comfortably unhappy than being uncomfortably unhappy.
“Love makes the world go around but money buys the riches”
Love is essential in each and every individual’s life but money is also extremely essential to live a luxurious life because we are human beings not animals. It is money which improves our condition or else what is the difference between a human being and an animal.Human beings stay in cozy homes, eat whatever they want, do whatever they feel like, travel the world, just with the power of money. Ask anyone how many famous lovers they can name as compared to naming famous millionaires and they will most certainly be in a position to name the famous millionaires. It is money and money alone that brings along fame and goodwill with it.If only love would have been sufficient for an individual to be happy all the poor people today would be content and happy. It is wrong to think that love is all we need, money too is equally important. It is only in fairy-tales that love alone can make people happy. We live in a practical world where falling in love is easy but maintaining that love with empty pockets is impossible. Life without sufficient amount of money is extremely depressing and frustrating. If an individual cannot fulfill his or her daily needs, it would be impossible to think about anything other than money, leave alone love.
In this 21st Century World, money is so important that today in most of the households, almost every adult member earn their own living. This is essential to keep at par with the society and it’s raising standards today because people who have more money are considered to be more important by everyone. This is a bitter truth and also hard to digest but turn your eyes a bit and you will understand the significance of this truth. Moreover, can you contribute for the development of the society and even your own family if you do not possess sufficient money, you cannot. It is therefore essential to use your mind instead of your heart when you try to understand the importance of money.

Discipline in a student's life

Discipline is the key to success - this saying holds true for all times and for all people of all age groups. But for students it holds a great value. In contemporary times there are so many temptations that can lure a student away from his basic objective in life.

The glittering world of advertisement, the glamorous world of modeling and cinema unfold a new era in front of young people and they are wooed by the glamour. Those of us who are not wise enough to think rationally will be swept off our feet and carried away by the fast paced winds of change.

Everything that glitters is certainly not gold and many a times what does not glitter and does not catch one's fancy might be more precious than gold. Before being swept off by changing winds, a student should think and consciously choose which path to follow. Apart from these, web chatting also takes up much of a youngster's time.

At a student's level, where there is cut-throat competition and time is extremely precious, these can prove to be real obstacles to overcome. Self-discipline is something students should aim to achieve. It is not a commodity one can buy from the market. It is a rare quality which one has to inculcate, nurture and cherish from early childhood. Through self-discipline will come concentration which will in turn help a student to scale newer heights of academic excellence. Success will be theirs for the taking who value and practise self-discipline and abide by it at all times.

Temptations are always there. Only the forms of temptations change. But those of us who learn the subtle art of self-discipline and self-constraint, nothing can prevent us from attaining our goals in life. Let's us all aim to be a little more self disciplined from henceforth.

SUCCESS N FAILURE

Adapt: Why Success Always Starts With Failure

This may be true, but we certainly don't act like it. When our mistakes stare us in the face, we often find it so upsetting that we miss out on the primary benefit of failing: the chance to get over our egos and come back with a stronger, smarter approach.

When it comes to failing, our egos are our own worst enemies. As soon as things start going wrong, our defense mechanisms kick in, tempting us to do what we can to save face. Yet, these very normal reactions -- denial, chasing your losses, and hedonistic editing -- wreak havoc on our ability to adapt."It seems to be the hardest thing in the world to admit we've made a mistake and try to put it right. It requires you to challenge a status quo of your own making."We're so anxious not to "draw a line under a decision we regret" that we end up causing still more damage while trying to erase it.

Impact Of Social Networking Sites On Youth

Social-networking sites have taken the world by a storm leading to nothing less than a revolution. A lot of concerns have been voiced about social networking sites taking over in our lives. However, one major issue that has been overlooked is the changing mind-set of the youth due to the social networking sites.

The adolescence years shape our outlook, our personality and mould us into what we are.
At any hangout or get-together more time is spent on clicking snaps and updating the virtual world on what’s going on, rather than enjoying the event. The photos are uploaded within an hour, and then begins the flood of “Likes” and comments.
Years later, looking back at our teen years, do we want to remember spending time bothering about an elusive world where we are judged on how we ‘portray’ ourselves to be? Do we want see ourselves as a vain, self-absorbed people fussing about the pettiest of things, totally nonchalant to the bigger and more important issues of the world? Do we want to be uninformed teens, ignorant about the world and doing nothing constructive? I am sure deep inside each one of us would rather see ourselves doing something productive towards our career, the society, and the world for a better tomorrow. The social networking sites and social media has revolutionized the world, bringing us closer than ever before, making life easier than it ever was. We can exploit this and use it for a better life, a better tomorrow. It should be used to connect, stay in touch easily, share views and not waste time on.
There was the Stone Age, the Bronze Age, and the Iron Age- all turning points in the history of human civilization. How should the virtual age etch itself in the history of mankind depends on us- the choice is ours now!

Tips for Building Healthy Parent/Teacher Relationship

When we’re on the same team, our kids usually do better in school. When we know and trust each other, our kids can’t play one against the other when they find work challenging or want to avoid a task. When there’s good communication between us, accomplishments get acknowledged, little problems don’t tend to become big ones, big ones can be better managed.
Here are a few reminders of what we parents can do to build a positive and productive partnership with our child’s teachers.

  • Introduce yourself to the teacher. Start the year off right. Don’t wait for a problem before making contact. Find a way to say hello, to help the teacher attach your face to your name, and to make a cordial connection. If the school limits contact immediately before and after school, email the teacher and ask if there’s a convenient time when you can just stop by. This isn’t the time to have a lengthy conversation. It’s a time to simply let the teacher know who you are and that you are a parent who is interested in your child’s education.
  • Introduce your child. Elementary classroom teachers often have 20 – 40 new children to get to know each year. Write a brief note or email to the teachers telling them a little bit about your child’s strengths and interests.
  • Go to the parent-teacher conference prepared. Respect the teacher’s time. Get to your meeting on time and don’t overstay your assigned time. Take the time to jot down things you feel are going well as well as concerns. Share the whole list with the teacher right away. Then go back to each item together. You are much more likely to cover everything you want to cover if you are both keeping track.
  • Remember the Golden Rule. Always assume good will on the teacher’s part. People go into this profession because they like kids and they love the process of teaching and learning. Don’t go by anyone else’s  opinion – especially if it’s negative. Different people react to each other differently. Your best friend may not like someone you find to be terrific. Your child may need some help adjusting to a new teacher’s style.
  • Communicate regularly. Be sure to compliment the teacher on interesting lessons and to share moments when your child repeats something positive that happened at school. Let the teacher know early if a particular skill or subject is giving your child trouble. In addition, keep the teacher informed if there are issues at home that should be borne in mind if your child is struggling. Children don’t leave family crises at home. Conversely, they don’t leave the excitement about an anticipated event  at home either. Kids who are unhappy and kids who are excited are often distracted from school work.
  • If there’s a problem. This is where the good relationship you’ve worked so hard to establish pays off. You know that you and the teacher both want the best for your child. If your child carries home a tale of teacher meanness or unfairness, maintain a neutral stance until you have more information. Don’t talk negatively about a teacher in front of your kids. When both parent and teacher stay focused on the problem at hand, be it a child’s need for practice with a skill or a bit of an attitude transplant, things can usually be worked out.

“LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST, THESE ARE THE POINTS TO PONDER”

Wednesday 6 March 2013

Relationship between Parent and Teacher.

In the interest of the child, a good relationship between the parent & teacher is very essential. Both plays a complementary role, established in the trust and dialogue. In reality, this relationship requires sometimes a little tact and strategy!
The teacher’s role is to teach and the role of parents is to educate. But at school, the teacher must be respected in its class and its values and ways of seeing are not always what you preach at home.

Relationship is a dance between what is acceptable, desirable and sometimes what is not.”

Parent-teacher meetings aim is to discus about the mental & physical well being of the child, at least twice a year, a contact between families and teachers is very important. The professor of your child, tells how he perceives his work and some pro & cons of your child attitude. You, being a parent are in a position to hear what he has to say or to represent your child to enhance his performance in academics. Openness to dialogue are essential. You can ask how to help your child better in his homework and how to encourage the type of any difficulties it encounters.

Dreams and Reality

The most important factor that affects the student life is the value of time.. Young people possess energy, but it should be channelized in the right direction. Misguided youth may do greater harm to the society than even the worst enemy can do. Moreover, it is on the shoulders of the young that the future of the country rests because they represent new values, new thinking and the new ways of life.

Dreams of a peaceful and harmonious world end when the dreamer wakes. He had dreamt of a world full of happiness where people are strong and healthy, where there are no wars, threats of war nor rumors of war, a world where love reigns. He rises to face a world on the precipice, hears news of killings and natural disasters, of poverty and disease, and goes out to experience discrimination and manifest hatred. He returns on from a world unlike the ones of his dreams, lies on his bed and dreams again We the young people of the world are in a great position to make the dreams of peace come to reality "Youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also the partners of today. ’’

As scholars have stated, "time is not evaluated by what has been harvested, but what has been planted ". The government and society at large have equal responsibility to provide the youth with suitable grounds and thereby bringing about a matured and responsible population for the coming generation to lead a better life.

Advantage of Cloud Computing for Schools

  • Cloud computing offers Schools a low cost option for using high concept computing systems. All that's needed is an internet connection which is low cost.
  • Students and teachers can share their work without having to use paper. Using paper is costly both to the environment and in monetary terms and is therefore no longer the only viable way.
  • IT admin including licensing issues, software updates and IT security management will all be taken care of by your Cloud provider. Removing the admin burden allows educational facilities to concentrate on their core business and be more productive.
  • As confidential and critical data can be stored centrally in the cloud there is less exposure to threats such as the loss or theft of laptops or USB flash drives.
  • Cloud can be used in underdeveloped or emerging countries creating a way of being able to teach children who would not ordinarily have access to education.
  • Cloud Computing in education gives better choice and flexibility to education IT departments. The platform and applications you use can be on-premises, off-premises, or a combination of both, depending on your academic organization’s needs.
  • You choose a subscription or, in some cases, a pay-as-you-go plan—whichever works best with your organization’s business model.
  • Scale your infrastructure to maximize investments. Cloud computing allows you to dynamically scale as demands fluctuate.
  • Software and storage are hosted and supported on the servers of the cloud computing provider, so, Schools don't buy software that only one person uses, invest in technologies that are quickly outdated, or spend hours and hours on technical support.
  • Cloud computing, in a nutshell, is a way to provide computer applications to users without the need for those users to purchase, install, or support software on their local computers and/or servers. Cloud computing provides Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), meaning not only is the software hosted on a remote computer, but data are stored remotely too.
  • Benefits of a Browser Based Application for your School

    Cross platform compatibility
Most web based applications are far more compatible across platforms than traditional installed software. Typically the minimum requirement would be a web browser of which there are many. (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Crome, Safari to name but a few). These web browsers are available for a multitude of operating systems and so whether you use Windows(XP/7/8), Linux or Mac OS you can still run the web application.

    More manageable
Web based systems need only be installed on the server placing minimal requirements on the end user workstation. This makes maintaining and updating the system much simpler as usually it can all be done on the server. Any client updates can be deployed via the web server with relative ease.

    Reduced costs
Web based applications can dramatically lower costs due to reduced support and maintenance, lower requirements on the end user system and simplified architecture. By further streamlining your business operations as a result of your web based application additional savings can often be found.

Less Manpower needed to Manage the System
Application can be hosted on other servers which completely removes the need for your on site staff to maintain the systems. Or if you want then the software can be installed on your own servers too and can be accessed in your Intranet.

    Simple to use and Learn
If your employees can browse the web to check the emails and bank accounts, they can quickly and easily learn the browser based software too.

    Data Security
Data in browser-based systems resides on high performance hardware servers owned by companies whose sole purpose is to provide secure data environments. By using their services, you greatly reduce your data loss risk. Data is not on the company site and so is not subject to natural or other disasters. Data is more secure because of regulations and standards adopted by the companies providing the data servers or hardware.

    Easily customisable
The user interface of web-based applications is easier to customise than it is in desktop applications. This makes it easier to update the look and feel of the application, or to customise the presentation of information to different user groups.

    Accessible Anytime from Anywhere
Browser-based systems are accessible from any computer, laptop, tablet or a browser based Mobile. In today's world we cannot ignore this advantage.
